Maxi Dress – Summer Dress – Ossie Clark – My-wardrobe
May 28, 2009 fashion, my wardrobe
The maxi dress is a wardrobe staple and with consumers making more considered purchases in favour of high trend, low price garments – it’s worth buying an investment piece as part of a capsule wardrobe.
Were I to purchase my wish list of ultimate items for my wardrobe – this silk maxi dress by Ossie Clark would be snapped up straight away – in fact, I’ve sent a link to my other half as it’s my birthday soon…
Utterly breathtaking, Ossie Clark‘s Georgie Yolk Neck Maxi Dress oozes femininity; with its bouquet print, green yolk collar and waist belt it’s perfect for lazy summer days and warm evenings in exotic locations.
My SS09 must-have!

Statement Necklace – Astley Clarke – Designer Necklace
May 26, 2009 accessories, astley clarke
This SS09 it’s all about the statement necklace – an investment piece that acts as the focal point of your outfit. The shops are awash with them at present, but my feeling is that if you’re going to buy into this trend (one that I believe will transcend fashion fads) buy carefully – as for the most part, the statement necklacetends to echo disposable fashion trends.
I’ve spotted a stunner by London jewellery designers, Missoma. The Flaming Hearts Pendant, made from 18ct gold and sterling silver vermeil, is available from Astley Clarke and looks equally gorgeous worn long or layered up with other necklaces and chains. This beautiful piece of jewellery is a work of art and makes a statement that will endure the test of time - elegance, craft and quality.

Scala Anti-cellulite pants – John Lewis – Scala Bio-Crystal Pants
May 20, 2009 fashion, john lewis
It sounds far too good to be true – but apparently these pants banish cellulite!!! The Scala High Waisted Briefs went on sale at John Lewis last week and sold out in under 30 min, so there’s clearly plenty of women who remain optimistic that these pants might actually get rid of their orange peel…
The concept of cellulite pants does sound a little odd, however, the science behind these briefs stands up. Unique bio-crystals built into the micro-fibre yarn absorb body heat and stimulate cell metabolism increasing blood flow to the skin; thus relieving your behind of the sprouting broccoli effect!
This close to wedding season and with my bikini beckoning – I reacon I’d try anything (well, I have tried most…including exfoliating with Nescafe granules…oh the shame!) so with these Scala cellulite pants priced at a very reasonable £30 – I’ll be heading to John Lewis to grab a pair for myself!

Mark Hayes – GM.TV – Tribal Bag – M&S
May 19, 2009 accessories, marks and spencer
High street wonder-shop M&S announced this morning that they were a staggering 40% behind last years profits; a percentage that baffles me as I believed I’d single-handily funded them for the last year thanks to my new obsession with M&S clothes and accessories!!!
Firmly on my fashion radar, I’m so impressed with the high standard of designs and the quality of their garments - most especially M&S bags and shoes…
GM.TV’s Mark Hayes picked their Limited Collection Portobello Shoulder Bag as a must-have for those wanting to channel this seasons tribal trend and its easy to see why! This tribal bag is fabulous – colourful and fun, it’s just the sort of accessory needed to brighten up your day!
For those who fancy trying tribal-ware but are a little reticent; this tribal bag would do nicely as its strong shapes and bright colour are perfectly on-trend and would compliment the simplest of outfits without looking overkill.
I’d team it with a simple T, denim shorts and gladiator sandals…and would finish off the look with a statement necklace. Pukka.

Since the 1970′s her unique use of patterns and prints on uber feminine designs have been famed the world over and now you can own a work of art, by purchasing a piece from the Zandra Rhodes collection at Marks and Spencer.
Made up of exotic looking paisley print dresses, catsuits and accessories, the Zandra Rhodes collection for Marks and Spencer is full of summer brights, perfect for holidays and warm summer evenings…
Theatrical and sexy, my favourite piece is this Rose Print Catsuit with metallic detailing. Sophisticated and bang on-trend, this Zandra Rhodes slouchy fit catsuit is inspired by her 70′s designs. A stunner that’s bound to turn heads the intricate detailing of bead-work and gold thread warrants the £65 price tag!

May 7, 2009 fashion, figleaves
A relaxed Californian brand with signature stitching – Citizens of Humanity have for a long time, been the favoured designer jeans brand for many-an-A-list celeb, including the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Katie Holmes.
Figleaves are the latest of exclusive U.K shops to play host to this designer jeans brand, stocking the Citizens of Humanity bestsellers, which include the flatteringly cut Ava jeans as sported by the uber stylish Mrs Cruise.
Part of Figleaves new luxury women’s wear section, you’d be mistaken for thinking these designer jeans might come with a hefty price tag – not so – for Citizens of Humanity are a premium brand with a near high street price. Costing £157, these vintage style jeans are a great investment. French Connection – Summer Knit – Batwing Dress
May 4, 2009 French Connection, fashion
I’ve fallen for this glorious tribal inspired summer knit from French Connection! Is it a poncho? A dress? Or a jumper? Who cares – it’s just beautiful.
Available in three different shades, I adore the blues/night jewel version, as it’s a perfect duel purpose lightweight summer knit. For a daytime look – wear over indigo skinny jeans with flat pumps and for night-time elegance, this sheer number would look uber sexy draped over a slip, bare legged with sky-scraper heels. On-trend batwing sleeves make a big statement, but also keep it practical and are great for women who like to hide their upper arms.
At £95 it may seem a little pricey – but I think you’d be suprised at how much use you’d get from this stunning aztec print summer knit…a SS09 must-have!

All Saints – Orion Swimsuit – Beachwear
May 4, 2009 all saints, fashion
With the summer hols right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking beachwear! The swimsuit has seen a revival in recent years and as a fan of the one piece (I’m so deathly pale I hate to expose too much flesh) I’ve been on the search for an on-trend suit that would suit…
All Saints Orion Swimsuit fits the bill very nicely! Inspired by constellations, this vibrant one-piece has been digitally printed onto high quality European polyamide material; it’s halterneck with a low back that will flatter womanly figures and add curves to more athletic builds.
I adore this stunning swimsuit – it’s laid back hippy pattern and gorgeous colours teamed with its supportive structure makes the Orion a sure-fire summer swimwear hit!
