I was just have a browse through this months Elle, when I noticed these cute little scents. The Harajuku Lovers perfume by Gwen Stefani. For a while Gwen Stefani has channeled the Japanese/Gaisha vibe in her own unique way, so it makes perfect sense that she should extend her empire to create these kooky little perfumes!
I’m a fan – I think Gwen Stefani is utterly fabulous, she commits to her sound and style (whatever that may be – at any given time) and doesn’t give a hoot about what others may think. Very on-trend! So, if like Ms Stefani, you like a break from the norm, have a ganders at the Harajuku fragrances…there are five different scents available…
Harajuku Lovers GWEN has top notes of fresh coconut, crisp mandarin and apple, a heart of jasmine sambac, magnolia and a drydown of sandalwood. Harajuku Lovers LOVE contains a hint of peach and bamboo leaf mist, with a heart of peony, nectarine blossom, Egyptian jasmine and bottom notes of creamy vanilla orchid and blonde wood. BABY‘s top notes are bergamot and white rose; a heart of orange flower, tiare flower and jasmine petals and bottom notes are white musk, soft wood, vanilla and violet. MUSIC is a delicate, floral scent with top notes of clementine and sparkling pear, middle notes of sweet pea and honeysuckle and a base of vanilla and skin musk. The fifth scent is ANGEL, light and fruity it contains top notes of cranberry and rasberry, a heart of sugared rose and candies violet and a base of crystal amber.

Xen Tan Transform Review – Self Tanning – Tanning Lotion

It’s late January and I’m naturally very pale – so on viewing a Facebook photo of myself looking corpse-coloured next to my friend and her newborn (yes, even the baby had more colour) I realised it was time to break open my new tube of self tan!
I’ve bough Xen Tan Transform, part of the Xen Tan range that recently arrived in GB following its enormous popularity in L.A; it’s the self tan favoured by the famous!
My tan of choice is the subtle daily moisturiser; the Xen Tan Transform claims to create a hint of tan without you really noticing, more of a ‘brightener’ than an tint.
I’ve literally just applied my Xen Tan and have to say am impressed by the consistency, which is light and fragrance, which is pleasant and not at all ‘biscuit-like.’
Xen Tan claims to have an innovative time-release formula that provokes an immediate reaction on your skin and whilst I can’t see a definite colour change yet, my skin does look more illuminated.

YSL Touche Eclat Review – Concealer – Light Reflective – Feel Unique

I’ve just cracked open my new YSL Touche Eclat pen and thought I’d write quick review. I’ve been using Touche Eclat for a good few years and believe of all the light reflecting, highlighting pens YSL Touche Eclat is the original and best. I’ve fairly severe dark circles (not good with my pale skin) and rely heavily on the fact that I can hide this daily – however, the one (and only) negative of Touche Eclat is that if used daily, it dries skin around my eyes. There are so many positives to out-way this though….it’s thick and creamy, creates a significant, yet natural glow and actually works… 100%! You can also use YSL Touche Eclat on the hollow of your chin, the contours of your lips and the sides of the nose.

Review Batiste Dry Shampoo – Look Magazine – GM.TV
Look Magazine featured it in their ‘credit crunch chic’ article and some American bird was singing its praises on GM.TV this morning, so I thought a quick review of Batiste Dry Shampoo was in order! With an average price tag of £1.99 I’ve been a fan of Batiste Dry Shampoo for a good few years, as Look Mag said, it’s a ‘handbag essential’.
Quick and convenient, simply spray Batiste Dry Shampoo on your hair in-between washes to refresh lank and greasy locks. It smells fresh and flowery and I find it great to use if you want to put your hair in an ‘up-do’ without washing it (which will inevitably create fly-away hair!) Benefit You Rebel Lite Review

Earlier I raved about the benefits of cellulite cream, but I thought I should also write a quick note on my post-festive seasons secret beauty weapon, as I’ve had yet another (that makes it two so far…) compliment about my complexion! Recently I’ve been using Benefit You Rebel Lite tinted moisturiser on the recommendation of a friend who uses the original Benefit You Rebel. My skin is VERY fair and dry; I suffer in the winter months with flakey wind-blown skin and at times, a washed-out complexion, but You Rebel Lite has really helped. It’s got quite a heavy consistency (not ideal for some) which is perfect for my dry skin, making it feel very moist. Bliss: Fat Girl Slim Review

I just wanted to write a quick post about Bliss Fat Girl Slim cream, part of the Bliss beauty range. Fat Girl Slim has been designed to demolish those dastardly dimples that have a habit of frequenting women’s ‘problem areas’. Bliss’ fatgirlslim is made with caffeine, which ‘energises’ the skin, promoting good circulation – which is the best way to combat cellulite!
I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now, as I received a pot of the Fat Girls Slim cream as a gift (!) for Xmas (long-running joke with my friend…we’re fatslim girls cos we fluctuate so much!) and am so impressed with the results. The Bliss cream tingles as it soaks in – so you immediately feel its getting to work and after a couple weeks use on my thighs and arms, my skin is smoother and feels slightly taught.
