Figleaves are the latest of exclusive U.K shops to play host to this designer jeans brand, stocking the Citizens of Humanity bestsellers, which include the flatteringly cut Ava jeans as sported by the uber stylish Mrs Cruise.

Part of Figleaves new luxury women’s wear section, you’d be mistaken for thinking these designer jeans might come with a hefty price tag – not so – for Citizens of Humanity are a premium brand with a near high street price. Costing £157, these vintage style jeans are a great investment. Beautifully cut and extremely well made, the Citizens of Humanity Ava jeans should last for years to come – making them an SS09 must-have!

The swimsuit has seen a revival in recent years and as a fan of the one piece (I’m so deathly pale I hate to expose too much flesh) I’ve been on the search for an on-trend suit that would suit…

All Saints Orion Swimsuit fits the bill very nicely! Inspired by constellations, this vibrant one-piece has been digitally printed onto high quality European polyamide material; it’s halterneck with a low back that will flatter womanly figures and add curves to more athletic builds.

I adore this stunning swimsuit – it’s laid back hippy pattern and gorgeous colours teamed with its supportive structure makes the Orion a sure-fire summer swimwear hit!

Every year, when the Oscars hit our screens, I wait with bated breath to see what the ‘tone’ of the forthcoming Spring/Summer season of fashion will be. You can literally guarantee, that most mainstream actresses (those who are dressed by stylists) will all be wearing a similar shape or colour that will heavily infiltrate the high street.

This year it was nude tones that dominated the red carpet and our high street is now awash with various shades of this flattering trend. My current high street fav is this Autograph Occasions Sleeveless Fan Detail Dress from Marks and Spencer. In a barely there shade and with its pleat detailed neckline, this structured stunner ticks all the summer trend boxes and is a very reasonable £55!

If you’ve a little more to spend, then head over to the Elizabeth and James collection at My-Wardrobe. Elizabeth and James is a collection designed by the Olsen twins – who themselves are huge fashion icons (stateside at least). Personally, I think their collection echoes their personal styles – eclectic, yet effortless – and none more so than this gorgeous and oh so easy-to-wear Pink Kimono Crepe Dress! Its hint of pink nude tone would suit most skin tones, whilst the casual cut and sleeves flatter and hide a multitude of sins. Its a My-wardrobe must-have!

It is a definite case of ‘Mum knows best’ as my skin is reaping the benefits of this amazing, sumptuous cream. My former ‘scaly’ skin has calmed to a smooth, plump finish. I am a convert!

New Ugg Boots - Are they bad for you?

I was once again watching the fabulous Mark Heyes on GM.TV with Lorraine this morning – who mentioned certain news papers were running with the story that health experts believe Ugg Boots are bad for you….blah, blah, blah. Barely even news-worthy and exactly the sort of over-sensationalising poppycock I’d expect from our tabloids!

Mark Heyes wasn’t fazed by this attempt to stigmatise Ugg Boots and neither am I!! My classic, chestnut Uggs play a pivotal role in my day-to-day well-being. They are cosy, comfy and reliable. I wear my Ugg Boots with just about anything, to do just about anything and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

However, thanks to Mark Heyes little fashion feature, I know have Ugg Boot envy…I love the new Ugg Classic Tall Boot …WITH SHEEN! These luscious lovelies look like they’ve got a waxy surface protector covering the out-sides of the boot. This saves a lot of hassle and expense as I’m forever spraying my boots to keep them clean and water resistant.

If you haven’t already got yourself a pair of Ugg Boots I recommend you purchase a pair – and do so quickly – rumour has it, the British importers have gone into administration….so supplies could be a little thin on the ground!

As a child of the 80′s I can get nostalgic about the good old days, neon bermuda shorts, slinky’s, my New Kids on the Block skateboard….but in all honesty, I do my best to avoid looking at photos of myself with crimped hair and off-the-shoulder baggy jumpers. The fashion of the 80′s is not something I’m in a hurry to re-visit…

I groaned on hearing 80′s fashion would be a huge trend for Spring/Summer…we’re a country hailed for its progressive attitude towards fashion…is there really a need to drag up the looks of yester-year? I began surfing the net in search of this new 80′s look and am not too proud to admit – I was wrong. Looking at those bright colours, comfy tops and quirky accessories my mood improved. Thats what we need this wear, fun, creative fashion, that will make us smile.

I’m loving the new take on 80′s rubber watches – a key look to this trend. I was in love with my rubber watch as a child – particularly as it was digital – so I didn’t have to go to the effort of working out the dial! Mc Donalds was a great place to pick up a rubber watch - they came free with a Happy Meal, but these days, as Maccy D’s tend to give away carrots and veg, I recommend you head to Next for your rubber watch. This perky pink rubber watch from Next is so on-trend and a snip at £15!

Recently I’ve been using Benefit You Rebel Lite tinted moisturiser on the recommendation of a friend who uses the original Benefit You Rebel. My skin is VERY fair and dry; I suffer in the winter months with flakey wind-blown skin and at times, a washed-out complexion, but You Rebel Lite has really helped. It’s got quite a heavy consistency (not ideal for some) which is perfect for my dry skin, making it feel very moist. Benefit have also added an SPF 15 protection, so my skin is protected from the harsh winter elements and calmed down with aloe vera. However, the biggest benefit of You Rebel Lite is its tint, which is light and natural…hence the compliments! Click here to buy Benefit You Rebel Lite.

I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now, as I received a pot of the Fat Girls Slim cream as a gift (!) for Xmas (long-running joke with my friend…we’re fatslim girls cos we fluctuate so much!) and am so impressed with the results. The Bliss cream tingles as it soaks in – so you immediately feel its getting to work and after a couple weeks use on my thighs and arms, my skin is smoother and feels slightly taught. Also, I had little bumps on the tops of my arms, which no amount of exfoliation could get rid off, but the Fat Girl Slim has done the trick, reducing the redness too! Amazon.co.uk sell fatgirlslim for £17.49, by far the cheapest price around! It’s a New Year must-have!

The new year is upon us and I’ve made numerous promises to myself, the main one being that cliche resolution related to weight; however before I annoy you into believing that I conform to every actress sterio-type of coveting the ‘lollypop-head’ look – I dont. I’d prefer to not lose weight – as it will invariably lead to loss of boobage (annoyingly, my rack is the last place to gain weight – first place to lose it) and that wouldn’t please my other half who’s always held the opinion that at my tiniest my figure was reminiscent of a pre-pubescent boy (damn that lack of rack!)

I aim to ‘tone’ various regions and claw back some of the suppleness I once had and will be tuning into an celebrity fitness DVD to do so (credit-crunch friendly – it’s much cheaper than a gym!) I’ve seen the ‘Queen of Lean’ Davina McCall has once again come up trumps with a workout DVD, Davina Super Body Workout dvd, a fitness DVD jam-packed with two 40 minute routines and three 50 minute workouts! This comprehensive DVD works on toning legs, arms and a six pack. It looks fab, but a little too G.I Jane for me…I want something fun, that’s sure to keep my attention.

The celebrity fitness DVD I aim to get my hands on is Claire Richards Five Star Fat Attack dvd! I’ve a soft spot for Claire Richards, she never hides the fact that she loves food and so has created a workout that enables you to burn off that extra slice of cake without getting too military! This 70 minute workout DVD combines a warm-up, aerobics, body toning and a cool down – add to this the four hotties in army uniform – it’s a sure fire winner…I’ll let you know how I get on!
